Our Tam Dao salamander (Paramesotriton deloustali) expedition was an unforgettable journey into the heart of Vietnam's lush and mysterious wilderness. Nestled within the sprawling Tam Dao National Park, we embarked on an adventure that promised encounters with one of the region's most elusive creatures.

As dawn broke, we began our trek along a majestic stream that carved its way through the dense forest. The sound of rushing water was a constant companion as we followed its course, marveling at the sheer size and beauty of this natural wonder. Sunlight filtered through the canopy, casting dancing patterns on the water's surface, creating a truly enchanting atmosphere.

The further we ventured, the smaller the stream became, inviting us to climb over rocks and navigate through the undergrowth.
